It is important to choose a hiking boot that is comfortable, versatile, and safe on any trail. A good pair of hiking boots includes waterproofing, non-slip soles, arch support, and reliability.
Pros:
Waterproof: The Merrell Ontario Mid keeps your feet dry and comfortable in wet conditions. This boot protects your feet from the elements.
Durable: With a reinforced toe cap and heel, this boot is built to withstand any hike. I have used my boots in snow, rain, and heat, and they have held through all of the elements.
Comfortable: The Merrell Ontario is a supportive boot that supports all distances and terrain. From long, warm weather hikes to mid-winter chill, this boot has performed well in all weather conditions.
Safety: Safety is an important feature in a hiking boot. A supportive, non-slip sole and ankle support is key to avoid slips and twisted ankles on a difficult trail. This boot has been reliable through all weather conditions including ice, rain, heat, and snow using vibram sole technology.
Cons:
Warmth: The only con I can report on this hiking boot is the insulation. In warmer temperatures, this boot can trap heat and cause your feet to sweat.
Trail Performance:
Overall, the women’s Merrell Ontario Mid boot performs incredibly well in trail conditions. I highly recommend this boot for hikes in cold and moderately warm weather. From stability and safety to style and comfortability, these boots perform exactly as described.
