Your new era is saying goodbye to your old life and making room for your new one. This includes getting rid of past thinking patterns, leveling up your confidence, and getting on track to meet your goals. 2024 is a year of growth and new beginnings, to set up your dream life.

Journaling Prompts to Change Your Life
Write a letter to your younger self.
Tell your younger self all about what you’re up to now. This allows you to look back at all the things you have learned over the years. There are many things you may not have understood or known how to deal with when you were younger. Now that you have grown, you can explain to your younger self that all of those things made you who you are today.
Make a life audit.
List everything going on in your life right now. What are you doing for a living? What are your hobbies? Who do you surround yourself with? After outlining your current life, evaluate each finding. Add things that will make you happier, subtract things that no longer serve you.
Forgive yourself.
As humans, we make a lot of mistakes. This is normal! No one is perfect, and mistakes are inevitable throughout life. It is common for us to feel guilt about these mistakes. Write down a list of the mistakes you have made. Make amends where you can and ultimately, forgive yourself. Making your mistakes clear forces you to learn from them and avoid repeating them in the future. Rip this page out of your journal and destroy it to finally let go, and move on.
What are you passionate about?
Finding your passion will change the trajectory of your life. Most people do not know what their true passion is. Writing about your hobbies, what truly makes you happy, things you are good at, etc. Will help you narrow down what it is you’re meant to pursue.
Positive Affirmations
Affirmations influence positive change in your life. Many people talk about themselves negatively, and are extremely self-critical. After all, we know ourselves better than anyone else. It is easy to fall into negative self-talk, but this pattern influences you to falsely believe that this is who you are. You are who you choose to be. Positive self-talk and affirmations help you to act and behave as the highest version of yourself, which in turn, changes your life for the better.
Make a road map of your goals.
On some maps, there is a mark indicating your starting point that states “YOU ARE HERE”. There are many destinations to choose from. From where you are standing, you can use the map to locate different objectives and eventually get to your end point. Generate a road map of your life. Write about where you are now, and the end goal of where you want to be. What obstacles do you need to overcome to reach your end point? What landmarks do you have to reach to know you’re on the right path?
Skill Search
Write down a list of skills you wish to learn by the end of the year. Maybe you want to learn to play a new instrument, get better at distance running, learn to cook, etc. Writing down these aspirations is a great place to start. Return back to this page to stay consistent, and update as you learn more skills.
Gratitude
List 3 things you are grateful for. Write about one thing that made you happy today.
New Beginnings
Think about your dream life. What needs to change in your current reality to become the best version of yourself? Are there things you’ll have to leave in the past? List what you’ll leave in your past life and what you’re making room for in your new one.
